Jessica Chu is a tax associate in our Los Angeles office. She advises clients on the tax consequences of various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructurings.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Jessica was a Transaction Tax Associate at Ernst and Young in Los Angeles. Jessica speaks Mandarin Chinese.
Jessica received her B.A. in political science and economics, with a minor in English from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2009. In 2013, she received her J.D. and Master of Business Tax at University of Southern California. While at USC, she was the Senior Content Editor of the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal and published “Filling a Nonexistent Gap: Benefit Corporations and the Myth of Shareholder Wealth Maximization,” 22 S. CAL. INTERDISC. L.J. 155 (2013). Jessica also served as an extern for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
