Gregory A. Clark is a partner in our Orange County office, where his practice concentrates on the financing, construction, acquisition, leasing and disposition of various types of real estate assets. His experience includes representing a wide range of clients, including:
Finance: Greg represents and advises lenders in connection with (a) the drafting and negotiation of various loan types (including construction, permanent and mezzanine loans), (b) distressed debt (including the sale of promissory notes), (c) workouts, and (d) foreclosures.
Acquisition/Disposition: Greg represents and advises buyers and sellers in (a) the acquisition, disposition and financing of various real property (ground leasehold interests, finished lots, unimproved land, office buildings, multifamily properties, retail shopping centers, industrial condos and warehouses), and (b) the acquisition and disposition of distressed debt.
Leasing: Greg represents and advises landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiation of complex retail, industrial and office leases (including ground leases, subleases, lease assignments and related contracts); and
Construction/Professional Service Agreement: Greg represents and advises owners, contractors and consultants in the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, architect agreements, engineer contracts, soil supply contracts and other professional service agreements.
In his work for such clients, Greg has also been responsible for the preparation and negotiation complex equipment lease and sublease agreements, easement agreements, indemnity agreements, CC&Rs (both traditional and industrial/office condominium), reciprocal easement agreements, subordination, nondisturbance and attornment agreements, telecommunications access agreements, development agreements, and broker representation, listing and commission agreements.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Greg was a real estate associate with the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP.

Greg graduated from Menlo College, magna cum laude, in 1991 with a B.S. in business administration and a minor in art history. He received his J.D. in 1999 from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law at Boalt Hall, where he graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif and served as an Associate Editor for the Berkeley Journal of International Law.
