Richard J. Miltimore is a senior counsel in the San Diego office of Allen Matkins. He represents private sector clients, including property developers, owners, and financial institutions. Rick has experience in a broad range of transactional project finance and real estate transactions, including secured lending, commercial leasing, project development, real estate joint venture and equity fund formation and investments, and real estate property acquisitions and dispositions. Rick's experience also includes representing both landlords and tenants on a variety of leasing matters, including negotiating leases for office space, bio-medical laboratory space, medical office buildings and data centers, as well as build-to-suit construction leases and ground leases.
Rick's recent transactions include representing a real estate fund in connection with a multi-billion dollar joint venture to acquire a portfolio of dozens of residential apartment communities across the United States in a single transaction, as well as a similar transaction that closed in multiple stages.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Rick was a project finance and real estate associate at Latham & Watkins LLP.
Rick received his B.A. in Political Science from Pepperdine University. He received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, where he was on the Dean's List for Fall 2004, Spring 2005, Fall 2005, Fall 2006 and Spring 2007.
