Biography

Richard J. Miltimore is a partner in the San Diego and Orange County offices of Allen Matkins. He represents private sector clients, including property developers, owners, and financial institutions. Rick has experience in a broad range of finance, leasing and real estate purchase and sale transactions, including secured lending, project development, real estate joint venture and equity fund formation, and equity- and asset-based property acquisitions and dispositions. Rick's experience also includes representing both landlords and tenants on a variety of leasing matters, including negotiating leases for industrial warehouses, retail, office space, bio-medical laboratory space, medical office buildings and data centers, as well as build-to-suit construction leases and ground leases.

Rick's recent transactions include representing a real estate fund in connection with a multi-billion dollar joint venture to acquire a portfolio of dozens of residential apartment communities across the United States in a single transaction, as well as a similar transaction that closed in multiple stages.

Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Rick was a member of the project finance and real estate practice group at Latham & Watkins LLP.

Education

Rick received his B.A. in Political Science from Pepperdine University. He received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago.
