Richard E. Stinehart is a partner in the firm's Orange County office. He serves as Director of the Real Estate Department and Chairman of the firm's Opinion Committee. He has more than 30 years of experience representing public companies, developers, institutional investors, financial institutions and lenders with respect to the acquisition, development, financing and disposition of master planned communities, office, industrial and retail projects, hotels, resorts, multi-family projects, as well as addressing the challenges of acquiring and developing infill and brownfield properties. Rick also has extensive experience in loan negotiation workouts, partnership restructuring, the acquisition and disposition of performing and non-performing loans and loan portfolios, and foreclosures and receiverships.

Rick received his B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, Irvine, in 1978. He earned his J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law in 1982 where he graduated first in his class and was honored with the Order of the Coif.
