Biography

Melissa K. Zonne is a litigation associate in our Los Angeles office. She practices commercial and corporate litigation including disputes between partners, shareholders, corporate directors/officers, commercial and residential landlords and tenants, and buyers and sellers of real estate. Melissa’s practice involves an emphasis on labor and employment, real estate, contract disputes, receiverships, and construction. As part of her work in the Labor & Employment Practice Group, Melissa has assisted in successfully defending against matters involving a variety of discrimination claims and wage and hour violations, including class actions.

Melissa has successfully represented clients at mediation, arbitration and in trial, and has experience in federal and state courts throughout California. Melissa has extensive litigation experience in motion preparation and drafting, civil discovery and depositions, as well as briefing on the appellate level. Melissa also has experience providing general advice and counsel to clients, which includes drafting various agreements and contracts, including separation agreements, employment contracts, and general releases.

Throughout law school, Melissa participated in the Small Business Clinic, in which she gained extensive corporate experience that supplements to her practice today.

Education

Melissa received her B.A. in public relations, with a minor in business administration, from University of Southern California. She received her J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law. While in law school, Melissa was the Chair of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program.

Melissa was previously a summer associate at Allen Matkins.
