Real Estate Associate – Orange County

The Orange County office of Allen Matkins is seeking a mid to senior-level real estate associate. The ideal candidate will have 5 – 8 years of experience related to a broad range of real estate transactions including but not limited to leasing, purchase and sale, and/or development. This is an opportunity to work with some of the most highly regarded real estate lawyers in California on highly sophisticated matters. Candidates should have a strong academic record from a respected law school, as well as excellent references. Strong verbal and written communications skills and a commitment to excellence are also required.

Real Estate Associate – Orange County

The Orange County office of Allen Matkins is seeking a mid-level real estate associate. The ideal candidate will have 3 – 4 years of experience related to a broad range of real estate transactions including but not limited to leasing, purchase and sale, and/or development. This is an opportunity to work with some of the most highly regarded real estate lawyers in California on highly sophisticated matters. Candidates should have a strong academic record from a respected law school, as well as excellent references. Commercial Litigation Associate – San Francisco

Allen Matkins is seeking a commercial and business litigation associate to work in our San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years of major law firm experience, a strong academic record from a respected law school, good written and oral communications skills, and experience in both State and Federal Court. Substantive knowledge in the areas of bankruptcy, secured transactions and real property law would be an advantage.  Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Real Estate Associate – Century City

The Century City office of Allen Matkins is seeking a real estate associate with the appropriate level of transactional experience, working on a broad range of real estate transactions including but not limited to leasing, purchase and sale, and development.  High level of academic achievement and major law firm experience required.

Real Estate Associate – Los Angeles (Downtown)

The Los Angeles office of Allen Matkins is seeking an associate with 4+ years of general transactional real estate experience, including but not limited to purchase and sale, leasing and borrower side financing. High level of academic achievement and major law firm experience are required.

Litigation Associate – San Francisco

The San Francisco office of Allen Matkins is seeking an associate with 3 - 5 years of experience to join its growing securities and corporate governance litigation practice.  The ideal candidate will have substantive experience in at least two of the following areas:  securities litigation, shareholder class actions, shareholder derivative actions, corporate governance, or representing boards or committees in internal investigations.  Federal court experience is necessary, and previous experience with litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery is a plus.  The ideal candidate would have major law firm experience, a strong academic record from a highly-respected law school, strong legal research and writing skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit.  If not licensed to practice in California, candidate must sit for the next bar exam.

Corporate Associate / Investment Management Group – Los Angeles (Downtown) 

Seeking a mid-level corporate associate to join our Investment Management Group in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have experience with investment fund formation as well as relevant experience in the corporate group or investment management group of a top-tier law firm. Experience representing venture capital, growth equity or private equity firms in fund formations, as well as ongoing investment firm operations matters and compliance with the Investment Company Act, the Investment Advisers Act, the Securities Act and other regulatory requirements, is preferred but not required. Outstanding academic credentials, large law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Admission to the State Bar of California is preferred.

Corporate Associate – San Francisco

Seeking a 4 to 8 year, entrepreneurially-minded corporate attorney with experience in financings, deals and other transactional matters, who is interested in helping build an elite boutique transactional practice in our San Francisco office.  High level of academic achievement and major law firm experience strongly preferred.  Ideal candidate would have both technical expertise and desire to be front and center in building the business.

Land Use Litigation Associate – Orange County

Seeking a 3 - 5 year associate to work on a wide spectrum of land use litigation matters, including CEQA, planning and zoning law, and eminent domain/inverse condemnation. The preferred candidate will have substantial litigation experience and at least some land use/real estate litigation experience. Genuine interest in land use and related issues is important. This position will be located and will work primarily with attorneys in our Orange County office, but there will also be periodic work with attorneys in our other offices. A high level of academic achievement and major law firm experience are required. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Litigation Associate – Orange County

Seeking a litigation associate with 3 - 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting pleadings, drafting and responding to motions, propounding and responding to written discovery, preparing for depositions, and trial/arbitration preparation. A high level of academic achievement and large law firm experience are required. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Real Estate / Construction Associate - Multiple Offices

Seeking a real estate associate with 3-5 years of experience and an emphasis in transactional construction law and/or real estate development. Prior experience with transactional real estate, infrastructure projects, including public contracts and/or public/private partnerships or exposure to construction litigation is helpful. Qualified candidates will be motivated self-starters with a commitment to excellence and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position can be located in our Orange County, San Diego, Century City or Los Angeles (Downtown) offices. Excellent academic credentials, the ability to work independently and in collaboration, strong research, writing, and analytical skills, intense attention to detail and a strong work ethic are required. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Land Use Associate – San Francisco

Seeking an associate with 5-7 years of experience to work on a full spectrum of land use and natural resource law issues, including litigation. The preferred candidate will have experience with entitlements, including CEQA Planning and Zoning Law, and the Subdivision Map Act. Experience with natural resources, including wetlands, endangered species, coastal, or historic preservation is helpful but not required. This position will work primarily with attorneys in our San Francisco office but will also work periodically with attorneys in our other offices. A high level of academic achievement and major law firm experience are required. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
