Shannon Snell provides a deal-oriented perspective and careful, clear, and concise drafting for sophisticated purchase and sale transactions. Her experience covers the gamut of related challenges that arise in title, survey, and lease review, and she has represented firm clients in the acquisition and disposition of virtually every asset class, including multifamily, retail, industrial and office buildings, in addition to business parks.

Having transitioned from litigation to real estate several years ago, her prior exposure to disputes enables her to spot gaps and eliminate future problems.

Shannon works hand-in-hand with clients to ensure the mechanics of their transactions satisfy both economic and non-economic goals. Her thoughtful, organized, and responsive service has helped Allen Matkins clients purchase and sell hundreds of millions of dollars of real estate across the United States.

Among notable transactions, Shannon was instrumental in representing an asset management company in the acquisition of certain improved property as part of both a forward and reverse 1031 exchange, including a leaseback of 50 percent of the building to the seller and current occupant. In addition to working with her colleagues to structure, negotiate, and document the underlying transactions, Shannon was instrumental in causing the title company to remove over thirty easements (some dating back almost 80 years) as exceptions to the final title policy, thereby adding substantial value to the client’s future development at the site.

Due to the volume and sophistication of the transactions that Allen Matkins handles, Shannon has developed—and delivers—technical skill and market expertise to serve the firm’s clients in their most important real estate matters.
