1L Diversity Scholar Program

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

We are excited to recruit 1L Diversity Scholars for our 2025 Summer Program. Law students selected to be 1L Diversity Scholars will participate in the firm’s 10-week summer associate program. Our 1L Diversity Scholars are provided with meaningful work and responsibilities, offering a realistic experience of practicing law. You will work side-by-side with experienced attorneys in our various practice areas, while also gaining valuable insight into our firm operations, our client service, and our one-firm culture.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY:

To be considered, you must:

• • Be a first-year law student in good standing, pursuing a JD at an ABA-accredited law school
  • Demonstrate a record of academic achievement, employment, and community service
  • Have a sincere interest in and commitment to private practice
  • Complete our online application (instructions below)

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Please complete our online application and include the following documentation:

1. 1. Resume
   2. Undergraduate transcript and law school transcript (once available)
   3. Two letters of recommendation
   4. Personal statement (750 – 1,000 words) addressing:
      • Your interest in diversity and inclusion
      • Its impact on your academic, personal, or professional life
      • How you will continue to promote diversity in the legal community
      • Your leadership skills, abilities, community service, or contributions related to your diversity and inclusion efforts

Application Period: October 28, 2024 – January 15, 2025

Although we accept applications through January 15, 2025, applications are considered on a rolling basis. We highly encourage you to submit your materials as soon as possible, as our limited number of positions may be filled before that time.
