Bruce W. Hyman in Memoriam

Bruce W. Hyman died on December 17, 2018.

Bruce worked at Allen Matkins for nearly 15 years, and practiced law for more than 60 years. Bruce was nationally recognized and renowned for his substantial experience in real estate law, including real estate finance, sales and acquisition, environmental law leasing, property management, and brokerage.

For 25 years Bruce was general counsel to the California Mortgage Bankers Association and was general counsel emeritus to that organization.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Bruce graduated from Lowell High School, attended University California at Berkeley and earned his law degree at the University of California Berkeley School of Law.

One of Bruce’s earliest jobs was as a 14-year old usher at the San Francisco Opera.  His love of opera continued and he leaves us today as a member of the San Francisco Opera’s Board of Directors, a position he held for many years. 

Bruce will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
