Anthony R. Burney

Anthony is a partner and chair of the San Francisco Real Estate practice. He represents institutional owners, investment managers, developers, and commercial tenants in the leasing, financing, acquisition, and disposition of multifamily, office, retail, and industrial properties across the United States. His practice includes the following areas:

• Acquisition and Disposition. Anthony advises clients in single-asset and portfolio equity acquisitions and dispositions, as well as in the formation of joint venture investment vehicles.
• Leasing. In addition to his broad landlord-side leasing practice across asset types, Anthony regularly represents tenants in office and retail transactions.
• Finance. He represents primarily borrowers in loan originations, loan assumptions, distressed loans scenarios, and the California foreclosure process.
• Receivership. Anthony also advises court appointed receivers on property management, tenant related issues, and receivership sales.
• Development. He counsels developers on CC&Rs, easement, license agreements, and other issues arising in the construction of real property.
