Jennie is an associate in our San Francisco office and is a member of the Labor & Employment Group, where she represents employers in state and federal court and before administrative agencies in a broad range of employment matters including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, retaliation, defamation, and wage and hour claims.
She regularly advises and counsels employers on various employment issues, including discipline and termination, compliance with applicable state and federal employment, and workplace laws. She drafts and revises employment policies and procedures, executive employment agreements, and employee handbooks.
Jennie also represents employers in corporate immigration matters. She has extensive experience in obtaining non-immigrant work visas, such as H-1B and L-1 visas, and employment-based immigrant visas for management, professional, and specialized skill employees. She also represents clients in U.S. Department of Labor audits and immigration-related litigation.
Prior to returning to Allen Matkins, Jennie spent two years as in-house employment and labor counsel at Pacific Gas and Electric Company where she was lead attorney in numerous labor arbitrations and employment litigation matters.
