Paul D. O'Connor

Paul is a partner in the Orange County office and a member of the Tax practice. He has a broad-based commercial transactional practice including the formation, financing, merger, and reorganization of joint ventures, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations, public and private syndicated offerings, and general business tax planning. Paul has been involved in the formation and reorganization of a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and retail partnerships and joint ventures. He has also represented financial partners and developers in the formation of many residential partnerships and joint ventures. A significant part of Paul's practice consists of structuring and documenting complex partnership and joint venture restructurings. These restructurings are often undertaken to minimize adverse tax consequences.

Prior to his association with Allen Matkins, Paul served as an Attorney-Advisor to Judge William Drennan of the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C.
