Driven by her lifelong passions for reading, research, writing, and problem-solving, Rachel is a smart and savvy trial lawyer who helps clients navigate through all phases of the litigation process, from investigation at the outset of a lawsuit through trial. Rachel’s business litigation practice includes representing landlords, purchasers, sellers, and developers in commercial real estate matters, particularly in landlord/tenant disputes, and she has extensive experience prosecuting and defending large-scale contract and partnership lawsuits.
Rachel creates true partnerships with her clients, learning their business operations, communicating consistently, and eliciting client input throughout the litigation process. She has provided customized training to clients on a number of topics, including website and premises liability pertaining to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the impact of cannabis laws and regulations on property owners, lenders, and landlords. Licensed to practice law in both California and Wisconsin, Rachel takes an “out of the box” approach to resolving client matters.
Earlier in her career, Rachel was an attorney with the Alliance for Children's Rights in the NextStep Program, where she represented children in foster care and participated in legislative and systemic responses to the needs of youth aging out of the foster care system. Her desire to assist children in the foster care system drives much of her volunteer work, which includes organizing annual holiday and back-to-school events for children and their caregivers, and volunteering with older children in the foster care system to help them develop life-skills to prepare them to live independently.
Rachel is the Chair of the Los Angeles Litigation practice and is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and Community Outreach Committee. She is also a former Chair and current Executive Committee member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Real Property Section.
