Jennifer C. Shakouri

Jennifer is a litigation partner in the Century City office. With over 16 years of experience, Jennifer handles complex real estate and business disputes for a broad array of clients, including property developers and owners, purchasers, sellers, investors, high-net-worth individuals and families, lenders, brokers, telecommunications companies, and other leading industry players. Jennifer has significant experience litigating high-stakes matters. Her experience includes partnership disputes, contract disputes, disputes relating to the purchase and sale of property, easement and encroachment disputes, failure to disclose actions, insurance disputes, and landlord tenant disputes.

Jennifer brings an in-depth understanding of her clients’ legal and business needs to her practice, enabling her to anticipate risks and advance her clients’ interests at the earliest stages of a dispute. She excels at developing and putting strategies in place that help her clients achieve their litigation objectives. She considers all options for a successful outcome, including pre-dispute resolution, negotiated settlement, mediation, arbitration, or taking a case all the way to trial.  

Jennifer’s connections to real estate industry leaders throughout the western United States aid in her understanding of broader industry trends. She is known for her commercial savviness and ability to work successfully with all sides of the table, even in contentious disputes.

Jennifer has tried cases to verdict over the course of her career and regularly argues complex and novel issues to California state and federal judges. She has a track record of favorable results in California state and federal courts and through alternate dispute resolution.
