Industries
Daniel is a land use, environmental, and natural resources associate in the San Francisco office, where he helps clients navigate California’s complex regulatory landscape to resolve enforcement actions and litigate disputes. He advises clients in a wide array of environmental matters brought under federal and state environmental laws including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), and the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and California counterparts such as the Hazardous Substances Account (HSAA), and the Hazardous Waste Control Law (HWCL).
Daniel also has extensive land use and transactional experience. He has advised clients regarding the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process and has successfully obtained permits from a variety of California regulatory agencies. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Daniel was a policy analyst with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the California Department of Water Resources. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Troy L. Nunley of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.
