Allen Matkins Attorneys Jeff Chine and Tim Hutter Honored At Building Industry Association’s 2016 Icon Awards

SAN DIEGO – September 20, 2016 – Allen Matkins, a California-based full service real estate and business law firm, had a big night at the Building Industry Association of San Diego County’s annual Icon Awards on Saturday, September 17, 2016. With a gathering of over 500 members from the building and development industry, many projects and individuals were honored (full list of winners available here). Allen Matkins partner Jeff Chine won the top individual prize of the evening as he was named the 2016 Industry Professional of the Year.

Jeff has served as BIA General Counsel for ten years, chairs its Legal Action Committee, is a Senior Officer and advises BIA’s Board of Directors on various issues facing the organization and the development industry. In his practice, Jeff specializes in a wide variety of land use and environmental matters involving the permitting and development of complex residential, mixed-use and commercial projects throughout California.

Allen Matkins senior counsel Tim Hutter was also recognized as the BIA’s 2016 Associate of the Year, a category covering individuals involved in title, legal, market research, insurance or property management. Tim has been a board member for the BIA’s Young Generation of Leaders (yGEN) since 2013, and is the Vice Chair of the Build San Diego Political Action Committee. Tim’s practice focuses primarily on business and real estate disputes, including contract, construction, joint venture, land use and landlord/tenant litigation.
