Firm Adds Leading Complex Commercial Litigation and Real Estate Partners
NEW YORK – August 1, 2024 – Allen Matkins announced today the addition of two lateral partners to its growing New York office. First-chair trial lawyer, Brian Hail joins the firm as a partner in the Litigation Group, and David Brooks joins as a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Group and will focus on commercial leasing transactions.
Brian has more than 30 years of experience and his practice focuses on complex disputes involving financial products, corporate transactions, and capital funding disputes. His clients include financial institutions, investors, joint ventures, and financial funds, including portfolio companies and real estate investors. Brian has extensive trial experience and has secured plaintiff verdicts valued at more than $100 million and defended billion-dollar claims. He has successfully tried cases in a variety of forums, including jury trials, bench trials, and international and domestic arbitrations.

Brian received his Juris Doctor degree from University of Michigan and B.B.A and B.A. degrees from Southern Methodist University and joins the firm from Crowell & Moring. David received his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law and his B.S. from Binghamton University, State University of New York. He is also a certified public accountant. He joins the firm from Paul Hastings, where he led the New York Leasing Practice.
