The Daily Transcript and Daily Journal (June 6, 2019) Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP, a California-based real estate and business law firm, recently announced that general counsel Jeffrey R. Patterson has been elected as the firm's new managing partner, effective July 1. The longtime business litigator will succeed David L. Osias to become only the third managing partner in the firm's 42-year history. Patterson joined Allen Matkins in 1986. He began in the firm's Orange County location before moving to the San Diego office, where he would become operating partner in 2011. A year later, he became the firm-wide general counsel and a member of its management committee. Osias, who has helmed the firm for the past seven years, lauded Patterson's leadership, saying the attorney has been "instrumental in steering critical firm operations" since he took over the San Diego office. In an interview with The Daily Transcript, Patterson said he is honored by the elevation, but noted that the current strength of the firm means he won't have to reinvent the wheel. "We've had a very successful model since our inception," Patterson said. "So I'm taking over an enterprise that is in a very healthy and positive place right now, and it's my goal to continue that trend."
