SAN DIEGO – November 15, 2019 – Allen Matkins, a California-based full service real estate and business law firm, is privileged to announce that its partner Jeff Chine will be inducted into the Building Industry Association (BIA) of San Diego County's coveted Hall of Fame at the organization's Installation Dinner on Saturday, January 25. Jeff is considered a preeminent land use attorney in San Diego, assisting his clients, including the BIA, navigate the legal, regulatory, and ever-increasing political challenges inherent in the entitlement of high-profile and controversial development projects.

In addition to his practice at Allen Matkins, Jeff has served as BIA’s (Ex-Officio) General Counsel since 2007. His long time involvement in industry issues precedes his appointment as BIA’s General Counsel. Jeff has advised the BIA Board in good times and bad, through thick and thin, providing a wealth of legal and strategic insight, and giving the organization access to critical legal resources to advance BIA’s mission, while protecting it and its members from incurring any liability. He also represents developers in litigation with environmental groups and opponents of development in CEQA, Planning and Zoning Law, the Housing Accountability Act, the Subdivision Map Act, the Coastal Act, and other challenges to entitlements.
