Allen Matkins Welcomes Real Estate Finance Partner Marc Young

LOS ANGELES – October 20, 2017 – Allen Matkins, a California-based full service real estate and business law firm, announced today the addition of real estate finance partner Marc D. Young to its Los Angeles office. Marc brings to the firm's Corporate & Finance Department and Commercial Real Estate Practice Group a practice covering a broad range of complex real estate transactions, having a particular emphasis on real estate finance, joint ventures and restructurings. He joins Allen Matkins after serving as the chair of Morrison & Foerster's global Real Estate Group for over ten years.

Marc represents borrowers and lenders in connection with the origination, servicing and restructuring of all types of real estate-related financings. He also has represented a variety of buyers and sellers in transactions involving office buildings, industrial properties, hotels, large residential properties and unimproved land. Marc’s clients include commercial banks, investment banks, capital companies, REITs and funds. Most recently, he has represented agent banks in some of the largest construction financings in downtown Los Angeles, including the Metropolis project and a new residential building at 1212 Flower Street.

Marc is a member of the California State Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
