BIA Hands Out Icon Awards

The Daily Transcript (October 6, 2016) The Building Industry Association of San Diego recently hosted its 7th annual Icon Awards, which recognizes achievements by local building, trade and design professionals in 36 categories. A panel of judges from outside the area interviewed each candidate and toured many of the eligible projects before making their selections. The title of BIA Industry Professional of the Year went to attorney Jeffrey Chine, a partner at the law firm Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis who acts as general counsel for the BIA. Chine specializes in land-use and environmental matters involving the permitting and development of residential, mixed-use and commercial projects throughout the state. He often represents developers in entitlement challenges by environmental groups. BIA Associate of the Year was awarded to Tim Hutter of Allen Matkins.
