Feds in settlement talks with former contractor accused of fraud in S.F. Shipyard cleanup

Stuart Block was quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle in an article about the ongoing legal fight related to the toxic cleanup of San Francisco's Hunters Point Shipyard. Tetra Tech EC, the firm hired two decades ago to clean the site, is close to settling a whistleblower claim with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Stuart was quoted about the dispute between Tetra Tech and its insurer, AIG. Tetra Tech has already admitted that employees committed fraud at the site, which is not covered by AIG's policy, but it alleges that there are other claims that should be covered.
