Jennifer Sung Receives Connect Media's 2024 Women in Real Estate Award

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – October 17, 2024 – Allen Matkins announced today that a leading real estate transactional Partner, Jennifer Sung, is a recipient of Connect Media's 2024 Women in Real Estate Award for the California region.

Jennifer, who is based in the firm's Orange County office, represents institutional investors, public and private REITs, and investment funds, as well as owners, managers, and developers on the structuring, documenting, and closing of complex commercial real estate transactions. She regularly advises clients on complex joint ventures (including platform joint ventures), asset-level and entity-level acquisitions and dispositions, development, construction, mortgage and mezzanine financings, loan acquisitions and sales, and equity recapitalizations and financings. She has extensive experience across a variety of real estate sectors, including data center, retail, office, industrial, self-storage, multifamily, manufactured housing, and hotel assets. She also has significant recent experience in workouts, restructurings, and other distressed asset transactions.

Jennifer has been recognized by Chambers USA as one of the leading lawyers in California in Real Estate Law as well as The Legal 500 US 2022-2023. She was also recently named Los Angeles – Real Estate "Lawyer of the Year" (2025) by Best Lawyers.

Her recent work includes advising the capital provider in a development joint venture transaction for two data centers in Virginia with an aggregate development budget of $1 billion, as well as an institutional investor in the sale of a trophy office building in Tampa, Florida for $151 million.
