San Francisco Business Times (March 27, 2015) Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff gave pretty clear marching orders to its senior vice president of real estate, Ford Fish, as the company plans its ambitious real estate maneuvers in San Francisco. As the company grew at a breakneck pace heading into 2014, those demands got some heightened urgency. Benioff told Fish “this is our home. We’re going to continue to grow here. Don’t run out of space,” Fish said in an interview, paraphrasing the company’s charismatic boss. “They are smart guys and they decided they could recruit to be near the transit center and be near an urban environment with lots of amenities, housing, retail and restaurants,” said Tony Natsis, a partner at the law firm Allen Matkins who worked with developers such as Hines, Kilroy Realty Corp. and Boston Properties to make deals with Salesforce.
