Residential & Multifamily
Our real estate finance team provides real estate finance services to residential developers, homebuilders, multifamily owners and other commercial owners operating in the residential and multifamily industry. Our practice includes the representation of our clients in various capacities, including as sponsors, borrowers, equity and joint venture participants, investors and lenders. As a result of our vast experience representing and advising our clients, our project and real estate finance attorneys have a thorough understanding of all aspects of financing requirements throughout the development process, from predevelopment through operation or disposition. As such, we are keenly aware of the multitude of issues that make projects viable and financeable, and we are able to advise our clients on the commercial market as to what is customary or reasonable.
"They demonstrate the sophistication and experience to handle our extremely complex work."
- Principal, Residential Developer
Our finance attorneys assist our real estate project owners, commercial and residential developers and other residential and multifamily clients in identifying various debt and equity sources, and thereafter structure and negotiate debt and equity investments for various residential projects, including equity placements, construction, non-recourse and limited recourse permanent financings and mezzanine debt for various for-sale residential developments and other multifamily projects. In connection with such financings, we routinely draft and negotiate term sheets, loan commitments, loan and other-loan related documentation, and regularly provide guidance on the structuring and implementation of financings. We also provide insight and advice in connection with various lender and loan requirements, including the specialized requirements of construction lenders, securitized lenders, mezzanine and other lenders.
