EXPERIENCE

  • City. Represented client in connection with land use ballot measure seeking to impose requirement that all residential development approvals in certain areas of the City be approved by the voters.
  • Retail Company. Represented major retail client in connection with obtaining land use approvals for new stores, including drafting and securing City approval of a successful ballot measure regarding the development of the store in East Palo Alto, California.
  • City. Represented City in connection with the formation of Tourism Improvement District. Assisted with determination of appropriate mechanism for funding and obtaining necessary approvals by City Council. Drafted enabling ordinance, drafted necessary resolution of intention and resolution of formation, and participated in City Council hearings.
  • Developer. Represented the developer of a 238-acre residential military base reuse project in connection with CEQA compliance, general plan, specific plan and zoning issues, subdivision map processing, wetland and water quality issues, affordable housing strategy, and annexation matters.
  • Homebuilder. Represented major homebuilder on variety of issues, including reimbursement agreement in cities of Richmond and Oakley.
  • Post-Production Facility. Represented post-production facility in connection with lease negotiations as well as lobbying efforts to obtain incentives from government agencies to continue business in Hollywood.
  • City. Represented City in connection with the formation of Tourism Improvement District.
