Rachael Gonzales
Associate
Rachael is an associate in the Los Angeles office and a member of the Bankruptcy, Receiverships, and Creditors' Rights group. She represents clients in a range of bankruptcy matters, including chapter 11 and chapter 7 cases, out-of-court workouts, liability management, and chapter 15 cross-border insolvency proceedings. Rachael works with administrative agents, creditors, trade vendors, insurance rehabilitators, providing counsel on both litigation and restructuring issues.
Before joining Allen Matkins, Rachael was a bankruptcy and insolvency associate with an AmLaw 100 firm, where her work included negotiating DIP financing orders, negotiating assigned claims to 363 purchasers, and advising insurance rehabilitators.
Prior to entering private practice, Rachael served as a law clerk to Judge John T. Dorsey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
During law school, Rachael externed for Chief Judge August B. Landis of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada and Judge James C. Mahan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
