Trey is a litigation partner in the San Francisco office. His practice focuses on business and real estate litigation, with experience in a range of substantive legal areas including contractual disputes, fraud and other business torts, partnership and joint-venture disputes, construction, insurance, class actions, and catastrophic injury matters. An accomplished trial lawyer, Trey has secured favorable outcomes in bench and jury trials and appeals, as well as in arbitration and through mediation. He represents large companies, small businesses, and individuals across industries, including prominent real estate investors, developers, commercial landlords and tenants, technology clients, and regulated utilities.
Before entering private practice, Trey gained significant state and federal court trial experience as a deputy attorney general with the California Attorney General’s office. He draws on his extensive litigation experience to provide solutions that efficiently further his clients’ overall business objectives, offering regular counsel on risk avoidance through pre-litigation strategy and trial and appeals, if necessary. Trey has a successful track record of resolving disputes in and outside of court, understanding when and how a creative settlement best suits his clients’ needs.
While in law school, Trey served as a judicial extern for both the Honorable Marvin R. Baxter of the Supreme Court of California and the Honorable William Q. Hayes of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California.
