Land use lawyer Jonathan serves as an intermediary and educator representing landowners, developers, and businesses in a variety of land use litigation and transactional matters. He enjoys a multifaceted resolution-oriented role working with stakeholders to see development projects through to approval. Jonathan focuses on California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance and litigation, advising private clients on state and federal environmental laws. He also assists clients in the preparation of documents required by CEQA, including notices, exemptions, addenda, negative declarations, and environmental impact reports.
Jonathan’s land use litigation experience includes defending clients against claims alleging violations of CEQA. He provides counsel and litigation services on land use matters involving development impact fees, development agreements and entitlements, subdivisions, general and specific plan adoption and amendments, conditional use permits, variances, and zoning. Jonathan is also the author of several successful land use initiatives and is a frequent speaker on land use topics throughout the state. Jonathan serves as the Chair of NAIOP Inland Empire’s Legislative Affairs Committee and is a Board Member of the California Business Properties Association.
