Ken is a tax partner in the New York office. He advises clients on federal and state tax considerations of domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, joint ventures and partnerships, reorganizations and restructurings, tax credit monetization, fund formation, and entity structuring. Ken serves as a trusted advisor to investment firms, commercial banks, family offices, and private and public companies across industries, helping clients resolve tax issues arising in their daily operations and those central to defining transactions.
With over 15 years of experience as a tax lawyer in private practice and in-house for a Fortune 200 company, Ken has an extensive understanding of federal and state tax laws. Clients value his ability to distil complex tax issues into practical solutions and anticipate complications at the earliest stages of a transaction. Widely recognized for the depth of his practice and legal insights, Ken regularly speaks at industry events and publishes on tax matters.
Before joining Allen Matkins, Ken was a partner and co-chair of the Tax Department for a prominent law firm. Previously, he served as senior tax counsel for a global technology corporation and as corporate tax counsel for a multinational energy company.
During law school, Ken was a board member for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
