LOS ANGELES - April 23, 2009 - Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP, a leading California business and real estate law firm, announces that attorneys Ken Hennesay and Michael McFadden have been elected to the firm partnership. The election is effective as of July 1, 2009.

Hennesay practices in the bankruptcy and creditors' rights practice group in the firm's Orange County office. He specializes in planning and execution of distressed asset transactions and resolution of commercial disputes that involve financial distress. He represents buyers and sellers in distressed asset and debt transactions and borrowers and creditors in workouts. He represents all manner of clients in bankruptcy and litigation matters including secured lenders, landlords, other creditors, various business enterprises as debtors in possession, bankruptcy trustees and examiners, receivers, and official creditors' committees.
Hennesay currently serves as a member of the Insolvency Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California. He is a recent former Editor for the California Bankruptcy Journal and former Section Chairman of the Orange County Bar Association Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section. He is a frequent author and speaker on issues involving debtor-creditor relationships.
Hennesay earned his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law, with honors, in 1996, after receiving his B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
McFadden serves as the chairman of the real estate group for Allen Matkins' Century City office. In addition, he is an Advisory Board Member for the Ziman Center for Real Estate at UCLA. He concentrates his practice in real estate transactions, specifically the development, leasing and ongoing management of office, retail, industrial and mixed-use projects. His practice includes the representation of landlord, tenant, sellers, buyers, developers and other users of real estate.
McFadden regularly represents some of the largest national land owners, including Blackstone Real Estate, CarrAmerica Realty, Beacon Capital Partners, Maguire Properties, Kamehameha Schools (The Bishop Estate), Boston Properties, Equity Office Partners and Kilroy Realty, Inc., and some of the largest tenants in Southern California, including the Los Angeles Unified School District, The Walt Disney Company and the Los Angeles Times.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, McFadden spent eight years in the U.S. Navy, specializing in the operation, maintenance and repair of satellite communications facilities, and ten years at Hughes Communications Inc. (later, PanAmSat Corporation) as Manager of Telecommunications.
McFadden received his JD. from Loyola Law School, where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class and served as managing editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and as a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. He received his B.S. in Information Systems from the University of Redlands.
