Karine is a senior counsel in our Los Angeles office and a member of our Litigation practice. She has extensive experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of business and real estate disputes in state and federal courts.
Karine is driven to help each of her clients achieve their overall business and personal goals. She is an effective litigator who understands that each case is unique—some require collaborative negotiations with opposing parties, while others demand deploying her full arsenal of litigation tools, including going to trial. Clients of all means and sizes rely on Karine for her creative litigation strategies and her meticulous and relentless approach to each case.
Karine’s track record speaks for itself. She has helped her clients favorably resolve commercial and residential real estate disputes, partnership disputes, breach of contract disputes, and disputes involving business torts such as fraudulent misrepresentation, unfair competition, defamation, and wrongful use of trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights.
Outside the office, Karine enjoys improving the academic and social outcomes for students in her community. With roots as a credentialed public school math teacher, she helped create the Pasadena Bar Association’s Mentorship Committee, which connects law students with seasoned lawyers. She also volunteers as an attorney proctor for the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Teen Court Program, which focuses on the rehabilitation of first-time juvenile offenders.
While at Gould, Karine served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ronald R.S. Lew in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
