Allen Matkins Advises Revitate in Portland Thorns FC Acquisition

Allen Matkins advises Revitate in acquiring Portland Thorns FC, a three-time National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) champion, from Peregrine Sports, LLC. The transaction was spearheaded by the Bhathal family, who also holds ownership stakes in the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, the Stockton Kings of the NBA-G League, and the Sacramento RiverCats Triple-A baseball team, among other sports ventures. With the conclusion of the acquisition, Lisa Bhathal Merage will act as controlling owner and NWSL Governor and Alex Bhathal will serve as NWSL Alternate Governor. The acquisition sets a NWSL record as the largest sale in the league’s history.
