LOS ANGELES - May 6, 2010 - Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP, a leading California business and real estate law firm, announces the expansion of its litigation practice group with the addition of Scott J. Leipzig, as partner, in the firm's Century City office.
Leipzig has substantial experience in handling complex real estate, finance, banking and commercial disputes in state and federal courts on behalf of a broad array of clients. His commercial litigation experience includes prosecuting and defending complex real estate disputes on behalf of commercial and residential developers; representing major telecommunications companies in regards to network real estate disputes; representing financial institutions, mortgage companies and real estate businesses in a wide range of real estate and consumer finance disputes; handling complex franchise matters on behalf of substantial franchisors and franchisees; prosecuting and defending various commercial and real estate contract disputes; and handling complex insurance disputes.

Leipzig has substantial first-chair, trial experience representing clients in complex jury trials, court trials and arbitrations. For the last five years, he has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Southern California Super Lawyers.
He was previously a partner with Alston + Bird LLP.
Leipzig joins Allen Matkins' litigation practice group of approximately 80 attorneys statewide, whose practice is comprehensive and is recognized nationwide for its expertise in handling all aspects of business and commercial, real estate, construction, bankruptcy, environmental and toxic tort, products liability, and labor and employment litigation. The firm's trial lawyers have successfully tried cases in a broad variety of forums including state and federal courts, arbitrations and judicial referees.
Leipzig received both his J.D. and M.B.A. from the College of William and Mary in 1997, and his B.B.A. from James Madison University in 1993.
